How nice would it be to paid big money to say silly stuff like Joe Buck and Troy Aikman do?
Overheard on the broadcast of Super Bowl XLII: Buck and Aikman were pointing out that New York coach Tom Coughlin strongly believes in eliminating penalties and avoiding injuries.
Avoiding injuries?
That's opposed to those coaches who enjoy seeing their players get injured, right? I think all coaches would like to avoid injuries, but that's not something one has any control over.
I'm glad the Giants won. It was nice to see Eli Manning silence his critics. He got the "Rex Grossman" treatment from the fans and media in New York. Sometimes, with a young quarterback, a little patience pays off.
If I were Manning, I'd tell my critics, "I told you so."
