Heard on yesterday's Sox postgame show: Some enterprising reporter asked OF/1B Nick Swisher if he was "happy" that Carlos Quentin hit a game-winning, three-run homer.
Swisher's reply: "No, I wish I had hit the home run."
Good retort, Swish.
Really, what the hell was he supposed to say? "Actually, no, I was pissed that Carlos hit the home run. I would have much preferred that he strike out, so that we could lose the game."
What a dumb question.
