Where choking happens.....

My prediction for the Cubs this year: They'll go 120-42 in the regular season, dominating the weak sauce N.L. Central, clobbering the Pirates ruthlessly throughout the year. Then, they'll get swept out of the first-round of the playoffs by some 85-win juggernaut from the N.L. West.

Chicagoans can forget about a Windy City World Series.

Not only do I not think the White Sox are a playoff team, but I don't think the Cubs are either.

I have to wonder if the offense has peaked after the last two years, and I think the Cubs' starting pitching is overrated. I think the Brewers will step up and be a better team this season. I bet Tony La Russa will cook up a good season for his team. The Astros will be good too.

Sorry, Cubs fans. It will be 102 years and counting, but this time, the Cubs don't have to embarrass themselves for the third straight year.

I'm curious as to how you think the Brewers are going to be better this season. They had Sabathia and Sheets last year, and they still couldn't beat the Cubs. Milwaukee has a nice offense, but no pitching.

If Carpenter and Wainwright stay healthy, the Cardinals could challenge. But the Cubs are the favorites in that division for sure.
