4-26_hale_bulls_6790.jpgA Sun-Times poll question asks today whether we like the new 7 p.m. start time for Bulls home games. Why, yes! Yes, we do! After all, we have a newspaper to get out the door by 10:30, and we'd like the Bulls game to be over by then.

In any case, the Bulls released their schedule for the 2009-10 season today. They'll open up at the United Center on Oct. 29 against the San Antonio Spurs.

Here's a list of other games of note:

Nov. 5 at Cleveland
Nov. 19 at L.A. Lakers
Dec. 2 vs. Detroit
Dec. 12 vs. Boston
Dec. 15 vs. L.A. Lakers
Jan. 2 vs. Orlando
Jan. 11 vs. Detroit
Feb. 6 vs. Miami
Feb. 10 vs. Orlando
Mar. 19 vs. Cleveland

I hope Bulls fans enjoyed that epic playoff run, which they lost in Game 7 to the Celtics. I thought Da Bulls got by with smokes and mirrors in the final weeks, and it helped the Bucks had injury issues otherwise they would have made the playoffs.

I don't see this team being a good team this year. It's Derrick Rose and bunch of stiffs. In this Eastern Conference, it means eighth playoff seed at best and an opportunity to be one and out again. I don't see Da Bulls being a playoff team this season.

I found it interesting Jerry Reinsdorf, who personally hired Vinny Del Negro, never gave his guy, Del Negro an endorsement when he spoke to the Bulls beatwriters of several newspapers. I wonder if Vinny will be out of here if he does not get off to a good start.

I don't think the expectations are that high this season, so I would be surprised if Del Negro is shown the door early in the year. The schedule never favors the Bulls early in the season, and I think they are bracing for some struggles.

Da Bulls have had a horrible off-season.

I am still wondering what they were thinking letting Ben Gordon walk for nothing. They did not offer Derrick Rose any help either.

This was a team that could have went to the NBA Finals with couple of moves like getting Boozer or someone. Instead, they got worse with Gordon's departure.

I don't see them being a playoff team this year.
