Congressional candidate Jim Oberweis has been making the rounds as part of a sustained effort to reshape his image, as reported on this blog before.
One of his latest stops was The Courier News in Elgin, where he talked about the mistakes he made during his first campaign and how's he's confident he can beat Rep. Bill Foster the second time around.
Does he have a chance if he can show voters the "real" Jim Oberweis, which he says is the milkman and grandfather, not the bulldog politician?
I dont think he has a chance because voters know the "real" Oberweis. I mean he has run for office (and lost) more than anybody I know. How can voters possibly NOT know who he is at this point.

I think it's fair to keep an open mind. Many people feed on negative public images, and don't give the person a chance.
