5:30, makes it a bit tough for those of us who work outside of Aurora to make it. Even harder if you are trying to get out the Metra lot at Rt 59 (Aurora side). Hope someone asks about now that the parking fees have gone up what are they going to do to reduce the time it takes to get in and out of that lot (just sayin)

Hi Dan....any live webcast of this event?

Hopefully, this forum will allow the voters to understand what the challengers have to offer and why they believe the current mayor needs to be replaced.

Looking back, I believe that Aurora is an even better place today than it was four years ago. There is less crime. There is more development downtown. We have the new McCoy Customer Service Call Center and a new police complex under construction.

Under the current administration, Aurora seems to be progressing. Does Kifowit have enough public administration and management experience to keep things moving forward in a city the size of Aurora?

after reading the beacon news accounting of the mayoral debate last night, wednesday, i am in awe as to what debate your reporters attended, certainly not the one i was !!

i went to the debate figuring i would vote for weisner, but owed the other candidates a listen to. i was VERY surprised at the presentations and knowledge and passion of the candidtates.

if i could rate the 3 candidates from what i heard and saw, it would be:

Last Place: tom weisner, his bady langauage and the way he treated the monitor and other candidates was one of "i am superior to both of you. your opinions are worthless, and i am doing a far better job then you will" He came acrossed to me as offensive, he double - talked (or as i refer to it as election talk) and for lack of a better term "slimey"

second place would go to Richard Irvin. He came across as a person who really cares about Aurora and has a passion for its success. I felt that he did not answer the questions presented to him and danced around a bit on them. his presentation was a little nervous.

Kudos the S. Kifowit, she was right on target, she did her reasearch, had her facts, answered every question presented succintly, and had a very composed and business like delivery. it was obvious she wants aurora to succeed, not just be a meal ticket for her and her family! she did a great job and..

as debates are supposed to do, she swayed my vote from weisner to kifowit. now, how can your reporter who was supposedly at the same debate only comment on the things that refer to weisner and pat him on the back? Media is supposed to report the facts, not make judgements!.

Ms. Kifowit, please get your message out to the public so they to can make an informed decision...CHANGE is needed!
