BY MIKE CETERA We asked candidates for the April 7 election a series of questions we hope will help voters make an informed voting decision. Up now: St. Charles mayor. Find their surveys attached after the jump. There are two candidates for the position.
Donald P. DeWitte, 55, is managing partner of Professional Kitchen Designs in St. Charles. He has served as mayor for four years and was an alderman for 12 years prior to that. Said DeWitte: "I have an established 16 year track record, my opponent has never held public office, and both economic development and job growth go hand in hand." Jotham S. Stein, 47, is an attorney with the Law Offices of Jotham S. Stein. He has never held elected office. Said Stein: "As an attorney and former general counsel of a company, I have extensive experience with businesses of all types - sole proprietorships, mid-size businesses, publicly traded companies. Thus, I have the skills needed to manage our City's budget and attract businesses to our City."
