Back by popular demand, here's our early post that links to candidate survey responses from Aurora's three mayoral candidates. The Beacon News asked Mayor Tom Weisner, Alderman Richard Irvin and Alderman Stephanie Kifowit to answer 13 questions about their views on the city's most important issues.

Click on the links that follow to see what each candidate wrote.

Alderman Stephanie Kifowit is in her second term representing the 3rd Ward. Read her survey here.

Alderman Richard Irvin lost to Weisner in the 2005 election. He has served two years as an at-large member of the City Council. Read his survey here.

Mayor Tom Weisner spent several years as a city employee before winning the 2005 mayoral election. Read his survey here.

Thanks for posting these Dan. I'll take a look at them when I have a chance. The article on the Beacon's website states that at least three mayoral forums are scheduled. You have previously discussed the forum on March 12 and mentioned the Chamber of Commerce forum this coming Wednesday. When is the third scheduled forum? I have not seen this posted anywhere and cannot find it on any of the three candidate's sites.

I have read all three of the questionnaire's, I found Mayor Weisner's typical of an incumbent who has to justify why thing are the way they are -- it did not impress me much. I thought Kifowit's was very informative and shows a good plan.

What I am offended by is Richard Irvin's answers. They are smug and downright rude. Is this the type of leadership we can expect? I certainly would hope not, but his responses had no plans, just a bunch of negative and empty words. He certainly is not being considered for my vote. I haven't made up my mind on the other two.

The third one is scheduled for March 18 at Wesley United Methodist Church. Check out today's Beacon for a story about the forums.

Thanks again, Dan. I had already seen the story. I appreciate you posting the dates here. They're tricky things to find and I had not yet seen the location of the third forum. I just wish I was able to make it to the forum on Wednesday.
