Odd mailer of the night

BY DAN CAMPANA

Between last year's Congressional campaign and this year's mayoral contest, Beacon Election Central has seen a lot of candidate materials.

This one has to be the most confusing.

Where to begin? This head-scratcher asks people to stop in and sign "letters of support for Tom to your friends and family."

Does that mean you are:
1. Signing the mayor's name to letters giving some props to your family?
2. Signing your family's name to a letter backing Weisner in his re-election bid?
3. Signing up the people you know to get future mailers from Weisner's campaign?

This is either poor grammar at its worst or a weird campaign event at its best.

The positive in all this has to be that the flier apparently is only electronic. Campaigns would hate to spend cash on a botched mail piece like this.
