Defending state champ lurks in round two

The Bolingbrook Raiders girls volleyball team found out on Friday that it will face Downers Grove North in the first round of the Waubonsie Valley Regional.

The reward for winning that match is a date with defending Class 4A state champion Naperville Central, which gets a bye in the first round. Bolingbrook, the 19th seed, will play the 14th-seeded DG North on Oct. 30 at 5:30 p.m. and then has to play the defending champs at 7:30 p.m. the same night.
