NOTE: You said you wanted to see more insider-type information. Today we give you a peek at what is literally between a few of our bylined staff members' desks.
Here is a photo of the area between the desks of Reader's Reporter Emily McFarlan and Staff Writer Katie Anderson.
You'll notice Ron Weasley of Harry Potter shooting some sort of green wizard fire out of his hand, a few big-eyed creatures from German Kinder Eggs, a dangerous-looking tape dispenser and a doe-eyed stapler.
What do you keep perched on your desk or stashed in the office for inspiration (or distraction) during the work day? Leave us a comment, or e-mail a photo to Emily.
And check out more photos of what's Between the Bylines in the Courier newsroom, after the jump.
Meet the "peeps" hanging out between the desks in the editor's corner of the newsroom.

Community Editor Julia Doyle has filled the space between her desk and Night Editor Marty O'Mara's desk with friends. Check out the Princess Leia collection! I'm sort of jealous.
Now let's see what you've got!
-- Katie Anderson, Staff Writer
Love it! My office is now operating under a "clean desk" policy so much of our kitsch has to go.
I love the Oxford English Dictionary peeking out behind the Pez Leia on Julia's desk. Is it the Concise? That's the one I have on my desk.
I bet Marty just luvs the "peeps"!
Crysta, The "official" dictionary we use is Webster's New World College Dictionary fourth edition, which is also what The Associated Press uses. We also have several other dictionaries floating around the newsroom -- like the Oxford Dictionary on the desk next too mine. But Webster's New World usually has the answers to any and all of our questions.
Actually, Jennifer, that isn't Marty's desk. That desk is empty. Marty's desk is diagonal from mine. He has a stuffed Kermit the Frog on his desk, so he probably wouldn't complain too much about the Peeps!
Ohhh...
that is tooo funny!
Wonderful to read!
Good post, thanks
