The Blackhawks have yet to find a taker for goalie Nikolai Khabibulin, probably because of the exorbitant contract GM Dale Tallon gave him years ago. Nobody in the NHL wants him. So what will the Hawks do with him?
Here are a few suggested destinations:
WYOMING
Hockey hasn't caught on here despite the fact it's colder than some parts of Canada. I think it's just because the fine folks in this state haven't been introduced to the sport. Once they are, I think it could rival alcoholism as the region's favorite diversion.
THE MOON
I don't think you can hear boos in outer space. After three disappointing years with the Hawks, that will be a plus for Khabby.
THE PAST
Were time travel possible, going back just three years or so and not giving Khabibulin a huge deal wouldn't be good enough. After all the soft goals he's let get past him, I vote for something more extreme: prehistoric times.

Hawks '08-'09!
The Hawks should have traded Khabibulin about a year and half ago when Tampa Bay was interested in getting him back. Now they are stuck with him until after the season. The bigger question will be the fate of head coach Denis Savard and GM Dale Tallon if the team gets off to a slow start.
