I was wrong about the Bears, but I don't think by much

The other day I said the Bears would lose to the Saints on Thursday night. I was wrong, so it's time to eat some crow.

But...

I did say the Bears' offense wouldn't be able to blow out the Saints. And it didn't.

I did say late in the game the Saints would do what they wanted to on offense. And they almost did with three second-half scores.

So if not for the result of the coin flip to start overtime -- which gave the Bears first crack at the winning score -- I don't think I was too far off base.

But, the Bears did win, and that's what counts. That's why they're still in the playoff hunt.
