While I'm still drying out from a wet Friday night, I'll offer a few quick thoughts on what happened around the area in the final week of the regular season.

ALGONQUIN -- It wasn't pretty, but Jacobs managed to maintain its mastery over rival Dundee-Crown on Friday.

In the season finale for both teams, the Golden Eagles took advantage of three Chargers turnovers in the third quarter to rally for a 21-7 triumph in Fox Valley Conference Valley Division action.

Dundee-Crown and Jacobs don't have any playoff aspirations, but that doesn't mean the two teams don't have something to play for in the final week of the regular season.
