Upstate Eight Conference football teams won't have to head south in the fall any longer.

The league's two-year engagement with the SICA came to an end when St. Charles East thumped Thornridge 42-0 last week. The outcome of that contest was fitting as UEC teams went 11-3 against their SICA counterparts the past two years, including a 6-1 advantage in 2008.
