The strange kidnapping of a Round Lake restaurateur last month sure has Mundelein police baffled, not to mention the FBI.

Claiming he was kidnapped at gunpoint at a Mundelein gas station, the victim claims he was bound, gagged and driven to Loredo, Texas. Left alone in his vehicle, he freed himself and summoned help.

What did the assailants get for their effort? Some personal items, a laptop and some cash.

There was no ransom or other demands. The victim just walked away after the suspects fled.

Is there something here authorities aren’t telling us? Something sounds fishy.

Me thinks the restaurant owner is lying, he probably took two drug dealers home to Texas and then claimed a kidnapping
