Unlike in previous flood episodes, it appears the river rats along the Fox River are bearing the brunt of this season's flood. Yet, they're not alone.
Most area lawns have that spongy, soggy feeling. The Hound can just imagine what some folks' septic fields are like --- ewwww! Is there an end in sight to this water world we find ourselves surrounded by?
We have a feeling more's a coming and we also have a feeling that most folks out on the Chain wouldn't trade places with us landlubbers --- at least not yet.
