With Lance Briggs busting up his $450,000 Lamborghini sports car on the Edens Expressway late last month, perhaps the Bears linebacker would be interested in the newest offering from the Italian automaker.
Lamborghini unveiled its $1.4 million Reventon sports car on Tuesday. The firm will produce just 20 of the high-end vehicles mainly for the collector market.
If Lance wants to see a picture it's at http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2007/autos/0709/gallery.2007_frankfurt_motor_show//index.html.
This new Italian stallion puts out 650-horsepower and its shell is is made entirely of carbon fiber laid over a carbon fiber and steel frame. Sounds just what Lance would need to bounce off expressway guardrails following early morning drives. Indeed, the vehicle's instrument panel is modeled after a jet cockpit.
Those Italians have a weird sense of humor. The Reventon is named for a bull that killed a bullfighter in 1943. Wait a minute. Actually, Lamborghini is owned by Volkswagen. So maybe its Germans who have an odd sense of humor.
