The Hound was out of the doghouse for just a few minutes over the weekend when he looked up and saw some screaming jets in formation over his owner's yard.
Jets over Waukegan! How cool is that?
So, The Hound dragged a bowl of refreshments over, sat on his haunches, watched the planes dance through a bright blue sky and barked a few bars of the "Wild Blue Yonder." It doesn't get any better than that on an early September afternoon.
And, I didn't have to hear my owner complaining about how feeble the mighty Bears looked after getting a bolt from the Chargers.
The Hound isn't that familiar with airplanes so he's not sure if he was watching a formation of Lockheed Starfighters or a Northrup F-101 Sabrejets, but they were a sight to see over northeast Lake County. Next year, let's have more airplanes and more flights and more jets.
