The Hound hears Waukegan Township is offering anger management classes on Jan. 24 and 31, along with Feb. 7 and 14 at the Staben Center on South Avenue. Think Township Supervisor Pat Jones and People's Voice Publisher Elroy Reed should attend?

Jones is suing Reed for libel over an "editorial" in his monthly publication accusing her of being an ally of state Rep. Eddie Washington, D-Waukegan, among other things. Reed, who backs County Board member Angelo Kyle in the 60th House District race, also lambasted Washington in his "editorial". Washington ain't suing, however. At least not yet.

But back to the anger management classes. The cost is $50 per person. The seminars will focus on the connection between anger, power and violence. Participants have to write weekly journals (Reed should be good at this), with class goers examining ways to control behaviors that effect relationships.

It sounds like a wonderful chance for everyone to get together, get along and sing a few choruses of "Kumbaya". Or perhaps, once lawyers get involved, it may be too late for a reconciliation.
