A nutjob guns down five Northern Illinois University students while they were in a class and now more nutjobs will be invading the DeKalb campus tonight during a prayer vigil for those students killed and the other 16 wounded. These nutjobs would be from the Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan.
It's obvious Illinois has its own share of wingnuts, but what's free speech about if some nutjobs from Kansas want to come east. Perhaps you've heard of these Kansas nutjobs. They're the ones that previously went to the funerals of dead GIs contending they died because the U.S. is a sinning nation because it "tolerates" homosexuality. At least that's how The Hound interprets the ramblings of these nutjobs. Illinois had to pass a law keeping them some distance from the GIs' funerals, mainly to keep the nutjobs safe from a good-old come-to-Jesus stomping.
But don't let The Hound interpret their teachings. Here's a smattering from the church's Web site, www.godhatesfags.com :

These nutjobs also plan to be at any upcoming funerals for the students killed at NIU. They call these little protests part of their "love crusade." If this is about love, The Hound would shudder to see their "hate crusade."
Feel sorry for the NIU UP and DeKalb cops tonight. Protecting a bunch of whackjobs from getting pounded by some teed off frat boys. Do I hear an "Amen"?

Not only are these nut jobs showing an incredible lack of sensitivity but they are doing so in the name of God. Actually in the name of The Living God who commands us not to judge. So how is it that they expect to have it both ways? It seems to me they've shown themselves for who and what they are, i.e, hate-filled bigots posing as Christians. They say God is laughing. No, He is crying. He is crying for the victims and for the nut jobs too and wondering when will man get it right. My prayers go out to all involved in this horrible tragedy.

I was there. They didn't show. Had they showed we would have stood strong and spoke, non-violently, for those who are no longer able to speak for themselves. I assure you "some teed off frat boys" are not representative of this campus.

How closely does the FBI monitor these whack jobs? Isn't this the type of mentality that breeds or gives way to groups like.... ohhh, let's say Al-Qaeda?!?!?! I'm pretty sure these people don't express their beliefs for the shock value. It sounds like they are claiming responsibility for what happened at NIU! This is no different then a terrorist group claiming responsibility for suicide bombings! If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck... well you know the rest!
