Gina made it to the top 12 and since America chose Sanjaya over Sundance (an absolute crime) Gina is the sole "rocker" left in the competition. That alone should help her stand out. In addition, it would appear that a lot of the contestants forgot to pack their personalities when they boarded the plane for Hollywood and Gina's definitely stands out (a good thing). While Lakisha and Melinda may have better voices, they'd better start acting like they want to win, because Gina clearly does. She'll be around for a while and certainly deserves to be there.
I'm so happy for her and not just because she's from Naperville, but because she has talent. I always like to see the rockers (who are always far and few in between)!! Now that Sundance was voted off (which I can't believe that) she's the only rocker left. She has style, personality and a powerful voice!! I don't know if she'll win but she'll give them a run for their money for sure!! KEEP IT UP GINA!! American Idol has a new sweetheart!!
I'm never voting again--except for Gina. Simon, I think, has come around for her. By the way, did anyone give Paula Abdul some painkillers?

GINA? WIN? OH HECK YEAH!!!! How America voted for freakboy and not Chris we will probably never know. I do know that with Melinda, LaKisha and Gina, we are guaranteed a female IDOL winner. Gina's amazing! she can really rock it out when she wants to and she can really sing a powerful ballad when she wants to! Her performance son this seaosn of idol have been by far the best ever in this show! She's given me a reason to watch and enjoy the show again! I'm hoping hse goes extremely far in the competition because she's the best ever!
