Naperville’s American Idol star will be appearing at North Central College’s Pfeiffer Hall at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and will be presented with the key to the city by Mayor George Pradel. Glocksen will also speak to the crowd and answer questions, but it is unlikely that she will sing, according to North Central College spokeswoman Jennifer McGuffin.

"I really was surprised. I wasn't expecting (the dismissal) so much," said Gina Glocksen, who is still in California. "I was pretty secure with myself. I gave two pretty solid performances and the last thing on my mind was to be in the bottom three, let alone the bottom two."
