We're going to miss seeing you on TV, girl! But we can't wait see you here at home! What would you like to say to Gina right now about her run on 'Idol'?
Was it just us, or was everyone especially sad to see Gina go?

Non-Naperville resident here. Just wanted to let Gina and her hometown know that she was one of my favorites and I was shocked and not ready for her to leave Idol. But now that she's out - start working on that album, I will definitely be there to buy it! You will be missed on Tuesday nights! Best of luck to you!
A mild surprise. I don't think the Tony Bennett week helped her cause.(Hey Idol, there was music made after 1970, believe it or not.) Gina needed a slightly stronger performance though, and it didn't help having votefortheworst on Sanjaya's side either. The big question is how did both Phil and Haley skate through?
I dont think American Idol is not holding up to the standard they should be. Its sad to see Gina go home. She was one of the better singers. I am really thinking that the show is somehow rigged. I tried to vote for Gina all 2 hours and the phone line was busy the entire time. It makes you wonder how she even got voted off.
Gina..I guess if you showed more legs you would still be in there. Hang in there..You are much better then a lot of the ones that are still in the competion.
Gina, we all Love you and are so Proud of you and I know what this meant for you. You were clearly the best talent on that stage and we all knew you would go far. You are meant for far better things and we can't wait to see you this summer on tour.
G-Force 4 Ever.

I think Gina sings very well. I am so surprised she was voted off of the show, especially when Sanjaya (who can entertain, but does not have a strong voice) and Haley (she looks good and can sing somewhat) are still on the show.
Gina, you're a wonderful singer and I look forward to hearing your voice more in the future!
Gina You Are Amazing ..Every Week You Gave Me Goosebumps and sometimes even had me in tears...well last night i cried for a long time...but I Kno U Will make great music in the future! And I Look Forward To Buying Everysingle Album...
Love Your Number One Fan!
Brandi
Gina shouldn't have gone this soon - Sanjaya, Haley and Phil definitely should've gone before she did.
Gina, you're a great musical talent and entertaining to watch. I look forward to seeing you perform sometime in the future!
People have been saying this season of Idol is the worst. I have watched Idol since season 1 and realize a few early dismissals happens. This is just WRONG!!!!!!!!! They have to do something to change their system. Four good singers have been sent home before Sunjaya and that other loser girl with the "great legs". Hello America, its a SINGING contest.
Gina, I loved your performance Tuesday night and the irony of you singing that song last night brought tears to my eyes also. Best of luck to you.
A lot of the theme weeks were a bit surprising. They put an age limit on how old contestants can be, yet have them singing songs their grandparents grew up listening to.
I am very sad to see her voted off. Sanjaya aside, she is much better than Phil and Haley. I certainly hope that she does not let this hold her back from doing what she is clearly meant to do. I am 33 and grew up dreaming of being in a band, but lacked the talent. Gina has the talent.
As sad as it is to see her go, Chris Daughtry was last seasons surprise elimination yet went on to have the best selling CD of that seasons graduating class.....
Hopefully Gina sees this as the beginning, not the end.
This was the saddest I have ever been to someone leave the show. I think perhaps because there is a particular person on the show who needs to get off there and because they are not gone the show has become a joke in my opinion. I'm not sure if I can continue to watch. Gina, you are a great singer. I wish you all the best.
I think this Idol is a mess. I can tell how this is even affecting the judges. While they cannot say exactly what they are thinking I am sure they are just as surprised that Sunjaya is still there and there are actually people with real talent being voted off because of the game which is going on with him. I really think that if they have any hopes that there is a next season to the show they are going to have to maybe let the audience (who actually pay money for tickets to the show)be the voting group. I do not think there are too many people who would spend money just to keep this joke with someone like Sunjaya going. I think the paying audience is really there to root for someone who has talent. I hope Gina makes an album as I would surely buy it!
The SunTimes got it right when they said, "THEY GOT IT WRONG".
I was in total shock when I saw Gina in the bottom three, and horrified when it was announced that Gina was the one to leave.
Howard Stern and his ilk, who played with the ratings, screwed things up royally. Shame on you, Howard Stern! Gina should have been right up there with the top three.
I'm a senior citizen and I supported Gina all the way. I looked forward to seeing her sing each week, not because she was from Naperville, but because she was THAT GOOD and had her own style and pizazz. American Idol is the rocket that has launched Gina towards stardom and I expect she is in for a meteoric rise. She is definitely star quality. Go, girl, go!!
Gina, this is the first time I've watched American Idol. You are the reason I turned it on every week. I loved watching you blossom into a talented performer and woman. There were 4 others that should have gone first and then we would have had the pleasure of watching a real competition. Your career has just begun and your exposure to the world will take you far. Everyday is a new one with exciting opportunities, just sit back and watch it happen. I'll be watching.
Gina, you were truly an American Idol. It was really tough seeing you go (since you were my favorite contestant ever). I'm still crying just thinking about it. You had style, personality, perserverance, courage, excitement, a WONDERFUL voice, and just the biggest smile ever. Don't let this bring you down. Glockstars such as myself are just so proud of you, and we know you have a very bright future and career ahead of you. Your days on 'Idol' have really touched many people, making them looking forward to watching you each week. You were just a huge joy and really brightened up the show. It just won't be the same each week without you! We love you so much, Gina! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us!
I used to live in Aurora and work in Naperville and was so excited to see someone from that area on and got to be a big fan of hers - she has a great voice and should've made it farther - I'm not sure if she would've won but shouldn't of been off before atleast 3 others. Make that album I'd love to buy it, i was crying with them hard to see the good ones get bumped off and you could tell she loves to sing/perform and wish her the best!!
You didn't deserve to go, which means Something better is waiting for you. Just remember: "When one door closes, another one opens" You have made Naperville and All your Neighboring Towns Proud! Keep it Up and Good Luck in the Future!
GOOD JOB GIRL YOU DID YOUR THING!!!! I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST IN WHAT EVER YOU CHOOSE TO DO!!!!
I was really shocked and appalled when I heard Gina was booted off, she is a hell of a lot better singer than Sanjaya. He can't even sing. Also Haley is another one that cannot sing. This is supposed to be a singing competition. Not a competition on looks. All the guys are voting for Haley because of her scantily clad body and all the teenyboppers are voting for Sanjaya for what reason I'm still trying to figure out. Well, that ended it for me of watching American idol. I WILL NEVER WATCH AMERICAN IDOL EVER AGAIN. The show has lost a lot of fans after that fiasco on Wednesday. They are eliminating the wrong people. Gina,Sabrina, Stephanie and Chris were all a lot better than Haley and Sanjaya. This just goes to show that Idol is not looking for talent.
Gina, I watched Idol last night, and like so many, I'm in shock! I still cannot believe the outcome. It usually takes me a while to find my favorite on each episode I've ever watched, but right away I knew my favorite was going to be you. Your versatile vocal capability, nice smile, and unselfishness were 3 qualities I quickly became attracted to. You're good at doing your own thing, developing your own style, and you do it all so well!! Without a doubt, you should still be on the show and should have made it to the top. Even though the superficial publicists, tabloids, and others didn't agree with me, you are indeed an American Idol in my mind. I look forward to hearing more out of you, especially your first album. You don't need Idol, you've got what it takes. Never Give Up, and never lose that smile!
As a loyal GlockStar , I can say that Gina will be better off how this worked out. The winner of Idol must give a big% of their profits so Simon and his record label. Gina will be on the Idol summer tour and that is all she needs to really get her name out there.
I say all of Gina's fans should E mail and call Howard Sttern and tell him how we feel.
I also will be someone who will buy every album Gina makes.
I was on a mission to get Gina tons of votes , that mission will continue to get her into the billboard top 10 for many years to come.
We love you Gina!
I think Gina did a very good job at american Idol, she should have been there a little longer though.. Idol need to do something about people who dont have the abilty to even sing, something has to be done on the voting system.. Example like dancing with the stars judges do vote, maybe American Idol could do the same, there could vote on singing abilite, personality, etc all that is made to be a "real" american idol, putting them in a different bracket: example: Excellent, really good, good, not good, and those in the lower bracket, like not good lol, would then battle to stay alive.. Not a good singer going home, because the guy is so cute ( but cant even sing or dance) sad..You know who I'm talking about lol.. I almost dont what to watch at times.. Give me a break
I don't know what happened or why, but most important is: there you were, and it was beautiful! You're a shining star. Thanks!
I am so sad and upset that I will not see you in American Idol anymore Gina! But I think it's awesome that you got as far as you did and you should be so proud of that...I think it's so great that you went back and tried more than once. It says a lot about you determination and the kind of person you are. I loved watching you perform every week and I am definitely going to miss watching you on Idol. You is a very talented artist and I hope we'll be seeing more of you!!

Gina you gave me something to look forward to each week. I had my office walls and windows plastered with your newspaper ariticles and pictures. Janet Grimes
I was very very sad to see Gina voted off the show, but I know she will be successful, she is genuine and authentic.
We love you Gina, I can't wait to buy your first album.
Thank you for your Angel voice!
God bless you!
