Upon further review, it just may be that Grayslake Central High’s boys basketball team – and NOT North Chicago – should be the pick to click in the IHSA Class 3A Antioch Sectional next March.

The Rams, always superbly coached by Tim Bowen, won three of four at the prestigious Bloomington/Normal tourney, are 9-4 and play smart, disciplined ball.

North Chicago is now 10-2 and didn’t seem particularly excited to be playing in the finals of the Wheeling tournament – a game the Hawks lost badly to Loyola Academy.

That said, this Pat Terrell kid’s got some serious game for North Chicago. The fact that he didn't make the all-tourney team at Wheeling was a major mistake.
