Just when you think that the era of specialization has taken over everywhere, along comes something to remind that it isn’t always so.
Such was the case the other day when Grant High’s girls basketball team improved to 22-2 on the season.
What happened was that two of the stars of the game for the Bulldogs were Tori Ziegler and Bailey Wagner. They are the same two girls who star in the field events for Grant’s track team in the spring.
And, yes, they’re the same two girls who played together in the front row for Grant’s girls volleyball team last fall.
Three seasons … three-sport athletes. Who’d believe it in 2008?
Both Tori and Bailey are great athletes that Grant has had in a long time.
They are a great part of a Basketball team that has made some noise the last couple of years and as an alum to see them is something special.
So i say Go Grant Lady Bulldogs Go.
