A reminder that anyone attending Thursday night’s prep boys basketball game, matching Zion-Benton against host Warren in Gurnee should not come to the game empty-handed.
Warren High’s student-fan section – the True Blue Crew – is running a food-pantry drive, so everybody attending the game is asked to bring canned goods and other non-perishable items with them and donate them at the ticket counter at Warren High. The food will be distributed to food pantries in our area.
This is the second half of a help-the-needy program that was initiated by student-fan sections at the two high schools. When Warren and Zion played last month in Zion, coats were collected for distribution to the needy, and the fans at the game came up H-U-G-E.
Here’s hoping the fans are just as generous on Thursday night.
