The more time that is spent in The Locker Room researching the Elgin Maroons, the more it seems like this is a terrible matchup for our friends to the southwest and a terrific matchup for our Zion-Benton Zee-Bees.
Elgin's strength is its guard tandem and they pair will likely be completely neutralized by the efforts of Zion's Rodney Clinkscales and Ronald Steward.
The Maroons also have one tall, good player, a 6-6 kid, but he will stuggle against our big guys in the paint.
Plus, Elgin likes to go up and down the floor fast, and playing fast is not the way to beat Zion.
Of course, playing slow is not the way to beat Zion either.
