The home teams being our teams -- Grayslake Central and Highland Park -- both of whom will be in action tonight in the IHSA playdowns. Will either or both be playing again on Friday night?
Class 3A Antioch Sectional
Grayslake Central 58, Guerin 57. The Gators have been tested all season playing in the Chicago Catholic League.
But Rams coach Tim Bowen is the second-best coach in our area (behind Paul Harris at Highland Park) and he's also made sure his team will be ready for this level of competition by playing tough non-league teams during the season.
This one is almost too close to call, but when the coin was flipped, it came up "Rams."
Class 4A Barrington Sectional
Highland Park 57, Schaumburg 46. Teams that are big and fast give Highland Park trouble.
Fortunately, Schaumburg is neither of these.
You almost feel like this is going to be a long-range shooting contest, with both teams bombing away from behind teh arc. If that's the case, The Locker Room will take its chances with HP star Chris Wroblewski.
