It’s 100 miles one way from Zion-Benton High to the basketball arena at NIU in DeKalb, which is where the winner of this week’s IHSA Class 4A boys basketball sectional at Barrington High will head for the Round of 8 super-sectional.
Zion-Benton High’s outstanding student-fan section, “The Swarm,” needs to know that.
They also need to know that the price of a gallon of gasoline is 15 centers higher in the DeKalb area than it is in the Zion area.

I hope Zion fans really do swarm these tournament games to cheer on their boys. I bet it all that these are special times at Zion high and I think the whole Lake county community should come out and witness this. Zion sure did earn this one.They deserve it and much more......... go figure if everything went according to plan the lights would have read WAUKEGAN VS ZION-BENTON down in Dekalb.
