Of the 21 area high schools that field boys basketball teams, the three least-successful teams in terms of wins and losses last season were:
3) Round Lake with 7 wins
2) Carmel with 4 wins
1) Antioch with 1 win.

Note that Carmel will have a new coach next season.
Note that Round Lake will have a new coach next season.

Note that Antioch coach Mike Skinner has only been on the job one season. He replaced a coach after the Sequoits won just 6 of 28 games the year before last.

If we are to draw the connection that a lack of wins correlates to coaches stepping down and/or being fired, there's more to it than that. In some cases, it's very difficult to win in an environment where you receive no support from your administration or athletic director.

Do a little research and you will come to discover that an area high school has watched five of its head coaches resign in the past few weeks alone.

Coincidence? I doubt it.

Maybe the same correlation to the coaches and w-l records should also be applied to those overseeing said programs.
