Things we can do without

On The Locker Room wall, we keep adding to our list. Here's what's on it so far, under the title "sports-related things we can do without."

10) anything to do with a rodeo
9) indoor pro lacrosse
8) the Chicago Sky (the Chicago skyline we can take, the hapless pro women's hoops franchise, we can leave)
7) any talk of bringing a minor, minor-league pro baseball franchise to Waukegan
6) The carnival midway game in which you have to shoot a regulation-size basketball through a rim the size of quarter.
5) indoor pro soccer
4) any positive talk about bringing the 2016 Olympics to Chicago
3) PGA Senior Tour golf
2) rhythmic swimming
1) People who refuse to come over to watch the Bears game at your place because you don't have a giant-screen, high-def. TV.

I disagree with almost half of this list.

A minor league baseball team in Waukegan would be sweet. Imagine major league stars on rehad assignments playing there. Would also bring in money for Waukegan, like a casino.

A minor league baseball team in Waukegan would be a good thing. Would bring in money for the city and imagine the hype of a major league superstar playing there for a few games on a rehab stint.

Good to see you're recognizing other places in lake Co. other than W & W...
LF's backcourt will be one of the best in the state with Berandini and Vogrich. Both are smart, tough, and talented. They will be a tough out for any team this winter. Vogrich was offered last week by NU, Iowa, and G-Tech. Bereandini's stock continues to rise as well.
Their skill in football will be unmatched - I know you're a Waukegan homer but they will have a great passer, two outstanding receivers - D1 potential - and two very solid and explosive runners. Again a very tough out for someone. A dark horse contender for the Lakes Divison crown.
