In The Locker Room, we are excited about Tuesday's North Chicago/Waukegan boys basketball game.
Unfortunately, we fear that the pre-game suspense is not going to be matched by suspense on the court.
In the last 48 games, North Chicago has had just three games in which it fell behind by 10 points to a quality opponent. All three of those games last year (Loyola, Zion-Benton and Chicago Marshall) resulted in blowout losses as the Warhawks did not come back once they were down.
The thinking in The Locker Room is that Waukegan will jump out ot a 10-point lead at some point in the first half Tuesday and that North chicago will again fade out of contention rather than battle back to earn a ceom-from-behind win.
North Chicago/Waukegan ... this is it!

I think tonights game will be very entertaining. I believe NC will come out with something to prove. However after a quarter or so the size of the Warhawks will show. They only have two players on the roster 6'3. Everyone else is 6'0 and under.
North Chicago has yet to play anyone like Waukegan. The schedule is extremely watered down. However this game may prove to be just what they need to prepare them for their playoff run.
Final Score Waukegan 78 - NC 62.
Nice prediction. The game against Zion next week should be equally entertaining.

North Chicago is a very talented and strong team, Should Grayslake meet up with North Chicago, I don't think they have a chance GCHS will feel like North Chicago did Tuesday night!
are you crazy? North Chicago is exactly what they shown against Waukegan. Average! Their weak schedules shows. Their weak coaching shows! They beat the teams in the North Suburban Pr. and they think they are world beaters.
