Ok, so the cat darts away and the voluptuous blonde lets out a sigh of relief. And then when she turns around a guy the size of defensive tackle--with serious rage issues--plants an ax into her like she is a cherry tree.
Gross stuff.
Predictable though.
We've all seen them before--bad horror movies. And if we've learned anything, anything at all, it's that they are not only ridiculous and illogical, but predictable. They're not scary--just gory. So I dare lob out a few terrible films that are supposed to make us scared, but they really only make us roll our eyes.
(Why is that every time a teen couple are about to have sex, they're penalized with severe torture from a villain who has a pumpkin on his head? Is he some sort of morality police?)
What are the worst Halloween horror movies of all time?
5." Anaconda": J-LO plus Ice Cube equals bad acting in a bad story line. The snake climbed up a waterfall and caught a man in mid-air for heavens sake.
4. "Jason X": The first nine Jason movies sucked, why should this one be any different?
3. "Jaws: The Revenge": Great way to ruin a classic, make the shark bigger and angrier. It's an insult to Spielberg.
2. "Serial Insane Clown Killer": OK, if you need to give us the entire plot in the title, then I'm not sitting through 90 minutes of clown dialogue.
1. "Basic Instinct 2": Who was the writer who sat down with producers, investors and other move-type and said "I've got a hit on my hands, and this time there's even more cigarette smoking scenes." This must be the same kind of screen writer that comes up with these ideas..... http://artfiles.art.com/images/-/Gigli-Poster-C10105312.jpeg
You've got to be kidding me, The Jason movies are definitely the worst of all time.
Halloween 2 and up are just as bad.
"Freddy Kruger" got to be "Freddy Kruger."
1. The invisble thing: How is that even close to scary?
2. The Ring: Dumb.
3. The Ring 2: and Dumber.
4. Rosemary's baby: Boring.
5. Jason movies: It got old.
funy stuff, mike,
I would have to say the Night of the Living Dead sequels were pretty bad. I didn't see them but the Leprechaun movies looked really dumb. And the remake of Amityville Horror was, well, horrible.
There's this movie called "The Stuff" where this mysterious white substance is seeping out of the ground, and for some reason the people start eating it. Well, what they don't know is it's some alien lifeform that is taking control of them. Terrible at best.
Ha! The Stuff. I thought my sister and I were the only ones who saw that movie. It ranks right up there with C.H.U.D. (Cannabalistic Humanoid Underground Dweller).
There are a slew of bad ones that rely on grossing out viewers rather than scaring them as Mike pointed out. Watch the original Halloween and there is little if any bloodshed (on camera)throughout the entire movie and it's far more scary than say the Saw series. Horror movies can be good, it just seems the gross out factor is what most directors aim for these days.
what about Killer Clowns from Outer Space? and Freddy vs. Jason?
