Comedy is a word that doesn't automatically validate a director or producer's effort to make you laugh.

Consider these titles like "Joe Dirt" and "White Chicks".

So you see where we are going.

I thought the third Austin Powers movie was the most unfunny movie that was supposed to be funny in recent memory. I haven't seen any of them, but my guess is those "Epic Movie" type movies are also pretty bad.

Waiting was a movie that a friend suggested I watch and it was horrendous. Also, there was an attempt made to make the Dukes Of Hazzard a comedy. This was the worst movie ever. The Dukes were simple country folk, not mildly retarded.

This discussion begins and ends with Caddyshack II. Especially when you consider that the original is one of the funniest comedies of all time. I'm still embarassed for Dan Ackroyd many years after seeing this stinking pile of rubbish.

I found it nearly impossible to sit through the 2005 version of "The Producers." I don't know why it was so miserable. Mel Brooks is funny. Matthew Broderick is funny. The movie was not. What went wrong?

Happy Gilmore is the funniest movie ever. Its so random and stupid!!!

Borat. Without a doubt....I kept waiting for the hilarity that I kept reading about and it was just a stupid waste of time.

Two Cuba Cooding, Jr. "comedies" - Rat Race and Boat Trip. Boat Trip makes you feel bad for Horatio Sanz. Rat Race makes you feel bad for everyone involved, from John Cleese to Mr. Bean.

UN-funny List
any of the old Police Academy Movies
40 year Old Virgin
Borat

MITCHELL RESPONDS: "50-year-old Virgin" was funnier.
