You never know what might happen in the Huskies first football game, especially with an inexperienced Sophomore running the show. I've watched Huskie football from 1976 on, missing only four or five games over that stretch. The O-line was impressive opening up massive holes for slasher Mlady, pounder Roberts and speedy Waite. It was even great to see how the youngster faked to Mlady, which drew 9 defenders to the left side, while QB LaCosse sneaked to the right. Most of the evening, NV was so concerned about the run that they didn't cover well on passes. Despite typical first game mistakes on the team, they looked great and should surprise favored Glenbard North at home, and give WWS all they can handle. Coach McKeon will make the playoffs again, and take the Huskies deeper than most "experts" think. I enjoy seeing Sakamoto wrong in his predictions, usually not giving NNHS its due. McKeon will clean up the errors and especially the personal fouls and produce another winner.
