The Wildcats will travel to Indianapolis to play against one of Indiana's most storied schools, Cathedral High. The Fighting Irish have 623 wins entering this season, most in Indiana history. They've won six state championships, including most recently in 2006.
Neuqua coach Bryan Wells said he was looking for a one-time opponent for Week 6, the slot that will be filled in 2010 by Matea Valley. Wells said he "shook the trees" from Minnesota to Missouri to Michigan and Indiana until finally getting the Irish, who play in Class 4A, Indiana's second largest class.
The game is set for 6 p.m. Central on Oct. 2, 2009.
