After consecutive close games in the Upstate Eight Conference, Waubonsie Valley finally created some breathing room in a nonconference clash with Dundee Crown on Friday at home.

The 22nd-ranked Warriors created a double-digit lead by the second quarter and locked down on defense to win 48-38. They’ve won six straight games since losing to Oswego East on Dec. 27.
