Neuqua Valley swimming star Brian Alden told the Heat Index on Monday night that he will play water polo this spring.

Speaking after a ceremony honoring the Wildcats' first swimming and diving team state championship, Alden confirmed his decision to play high school water polo for the first time.

Neuqua swimming coach Chad Allen said it was Alden's teammate John Mikuzis who talked him into playing.

What does this mean for the Neuqua water polo team?
