If Marian Catholic coach Sean Scanlon was correct on Tuesday night when he said Naperville Central is better than its No. 5 ranking, the Redhawks will be able to prove that in front of their home fans for most of March.
Thanks to a favorable schedule, Central (2-0) will not dive into another team's pool until March 22 at the Lyons Township Tournament. The Redhawks host the Naperville Quad this weekend and the Naperville Central Invitational on March 15.
All told, Central will have played the first dozen games of its season at home. The Redhawks will be the last area girls water polo team to hit the road and won't play a weeknight game on the road until March 25 at Naperville North.
To contrast that, North will already have played four of its five weeknight road games by then. Central won't leave Naperville on a weeknight until April 8 at Fenwick.
Is this a big advantage for the Redhawks?

No, I really don't think its a big atvantage. The pool is the same as every other pool in the area and last year we lost some of our home games. So it's not a big atvantage at all.
