Both were runners-up at the swimming and diving state championships last month in Evanston. Both have a decision to make about if they want to continue their athletic careers and where that might happen.
Naperville North's Jackson Hill might end up at Purdue, Boston University or Michigan State.
Neuqua Valley's Chris Murray could end up at Indiana or Southern Illinois.
Hill told the Heat Index on Monday night that he has scheduled official visits with all three schools. He will make his first recruiting trip next weekend when he visits West Lafayette.
Already accepted academically at all three schools, Hill will make his visit to Boston during spring break and will head to East Lansing on April 19.
"I really like Purdue as a school," Hill said. "It has a nice campus. I'm going to wait unitl I see all three (to make a choice)."
North swimming coach Kurt Johns said the success Hill had at state -- a second in the 100-yard freestyle and a third in the 50 freestyle a day after breaking school records in both events-- was a wake-up call of sorts.
"I think that kind of opened his eyes a little bit," Johns said.
Neuqua diving coach Gerry Petit said on Saturday that Murray, who broke the school record for an 11-dive performance at sectional, has interest from both the Hoosiers and the Salukis. While Petit thinks that Indiana would be a better fit for Murray for diving, Petit said he isn't sure if the four-time state finalist will make his school selection based on that criteria.
