Neuqua Valley's John Mikuzis and Naperville Central's Kara Wilson were named Offensive Player of the Year on Thursday by illpolo.com, which released its All-Illpolo Teams.
Other individual award winners were: Central's Claire Fleming (most improved player), Central's Mark Menis (sophomore MVP), Central's Tyler Kelley (top junior goalie) and Naperville North's Conor Handley (most versatile player).
Wilson was the only Naperville-area girl named to the All-Illpolo first team. Teammate Sam Virella is on the second team, Fleming is on the fourth team and Haley Nelson on the fifth team.
Other girls honorees were: Neuqua's Kathleen Patterson (3rd team) and Chelsea Reczek (4th team) and the Waubonsie Valley pair of Bailey Gucinski (4th team) and Allison Szott (5th team).
Menis, Mikuzis, Kelley and Handley made the first team on the boys side. Central also had Ben Reasons on the second team, Bobby Rickert on the third team and Max Saltzman on the fourth team.
Jim Zuponeck from Waubonsie is on the second team and North's Jackson Hill is on the third team.
