| | Comments (1) | TrackBacks (0)

The DuPage Valley, Upstate Eight and East Suburban Catholic Conferences announced their all-conference lists this week. For a complete list, just click the link below.

DVC

Naperville Central
Natalie Wunderlich, P (Unanimous selection)
Lizzy Ploen, SS (Unanimous)
Erin Graham, 3B (Unanimous)
Stephanie Lynch, 1B

Naperville North
Sarah Adam, SS (Unanimous)
Sammy Marshall, CF

MVP: Mary Connolly, West Chicago
Coach of the Year: Jim Schaudt, West Chicago

UEC

Neuqua Valley
Jenna Marsalli, SS
Colleen Hohman, P/1B (Unanimous)

Waubonsie Valley
Alley Seplak, SS (Unanimous)

ESCC

Benet
Laura Canulli, SS
Meghan Eastman, P
Claire Geyer, RF
Courtney Makowski, 3B

The ESSC doesn't indicate whether selections were unanimous. Canulli is the only Benet player who made the list last season. I think the picks from area teams are pretty fair, singling out the best players on each squad. However, I can't understand how Neuqua's Marsalli wasn't a unanimous selection in the UEC. The junior shortstop finished with 11 homers, was sharp in the field and a team leader. Oh well, at least she's on the list. What do you think of the picks? Was anyone left off?

You are right about Jenna Marsalli from Neuqua, it should have been unanimous, most home runs, high in all major categories, average, runs, rbi's....
Erin Grahm from central is a really good player, same batting average as Summer McKenzie from Neuqua who catches for Colleen from Neuqua, caught every game but the 2 East Aurora games. I am a little prejudice.
