I'm coming clean

By D.J. Wanberg
The big sports news in today's edition of The Sun was not only the Cubs winning a series against the Cardinals and the White Sox going 8-2 on their homestand, but the All-Star game selections.

Seven Cubs were picked and two from the White Sox on Sunday.

Now not all selections for the game come via fan votes. And most of the Amercian League and National League selections were worthy.

But I don't give 100 percent credibility to a process that allowed me to grab as many ballots as I could get as a kid at Wrigley Field or then Comiskey Park and vote for players who were my favorites -- even though other players were having much better years and deserved to be in the game..
