The Chicago Fire Juniors 16-and-under boys team continued their undefeated Northern Illinois Soccer League premiership division play with two victories. On Saturday, the Fire defeated Sockers FC 3-1 and on Sunday defeated Euro Premier Club 6-1. Neuqua Valley's Will Butler is on the team.

With the score tied at 1 against the Sockers FC in the second half, Sean O'Hara followed up on a Patryk Ruta shot and scored the game-winning goal. The Fire added an insurance goal late as Ruta put away a cross from Kyle Ortman. Sam Euler recorded one save in the first half, while Sam Hadley had three saves in the second.

The Fire had no problem handling the Euro Premier Club as they led 4-0 at the end of the first half. Five different Fire players scored in the game, and the Euro Premier team committed one own goal. Once again, Euler had one save in goal the first half, and Hadley recorded three saves in the second.

The entire team is comprised of Jonathan Beavis, Pater Beasley, Jacob Brindle, Butler, Blake Carson, Euler, Grant Fitzgerald, Hadley, Craig Hancock, Patrick Kaindl, Sean Mogan, Eion Moore, O'Hara, Ortman, Omel Perchatsch, Chad Rigg, Ruta, and Horacio Sanchez.

Brad,

Actually there are 5 young men from Neuqua on this team and 2 from Benet.

From Neuqua:
Jacob Brindle
Will Butler
Blake Carson
Patrick Kaindl
Omel Perchatsch

From Benet
Sean Mogan
Sean O'Hara

Great local representation for a team that finished third in the Nation last year and ranked in the top 10 teams in the Nation by almost any measure.

I heard Sean O'Hara, stud midfielder, is already beginning discussions with Manchester United and Real Madrid. Not surprising though, he has been drawing comparisons with David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Christiano Ronaldo and Thiery Henry since he was 5. Expect great things from the soon-to-be Pele of our time!!!
