Neuqua Valley graduate Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton, a senior at Purdue, was named a Big Ten Women's Basketball Co-Player of the Week, the league announced today.
Wisdom-Hylton, a 6-2 forward, averaged 15.3 points and 9.0 rebounds as Purdue went 2-1 at the Waikiki Marriott Classic in Honolulu, including an overtime loss to No. 5/6 Stanford. Against the Cardinal, the senior netted 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out four assists, swatted a season-high four blocks and added one steal.
The following night against host Hawaii, Wisdom-Hylton went 10-of-11 from the field for 20 points with eight boards and a team-high and career-high six assists, also grabbing three steals and registering a pair of blocks. In her third game in as many days, the Naperville, Ill., native recorded her second double-double of the season, pouring in 11 points with 10 rebounds, also adding a pair of assists, a block and a steal in a win over Prairie View A&M.
The weekly honor is the second of Wisdom-Hylton's career and the second for the nationally ranked Boilermakers this season.
