Bears: July 2008 Archives

This may be nothing. It could be false. But the chatter on a Houston Texans message board (via AOL Fanhouse via Pro Football Talk) is that former Bears running back Cedric Benson could be joining the Texans.

That would mean extra competition for Naperville North graduate Chris Brown, Ahman Green and company. Competition is a good thing, however, Cedric Benson has not shown in his pro career that it is a favorite thing of his.

Brown, who signed a free-agent deal with Houston this spring, will be in Naperville next week to conduct a free football camp at Calvary Church. By then we should know if this rumor proves to be accurate.
