Take a look at the WNBA's adverts. I saw them thanks to the SportingBlog, but you can see them at WNBA.com or YouTube as well.

The campaign is called "Expect Great." Other players in the campaign are Cheryl Ford and Tamika Catchings.

Naperville's Parker says this in the 30 second spot.

"I'm sorry, but you couldn't pay me to watch women's basketball. Nothing exciting ever happens. ...
"Look at the WNBA. The league has stayed the same for 10 years. There's no new blood....
"What kind of future does that league have? None that I can see."

At this point, I'm worried about CP3. She's gone all goofy. I mean, I'm the one who wrote the WNBA is doomed, but this is scarry stuff for the No. 1 overall pick to be saying.

That's when the words splash up on the screen to end this madness.

She wouldn't say that. Would You?

Get it? Man that is clever.

trav8587 posted this video last month that shows Justin McCareins having a bad day against the Baltimore Ravens. This Jets fan is not sad to see the Naperville North product back with the Titans.

The New York Jets at Baltimore: where McCareins' drops multiple passes that could have tied the game... glad he was cut.

Saw this on Sunday afternoon while looking at the youtubes. Gatehousechicago posted the video showing the final rally of Benet's win over No. 10 St. Francis on Wednesday.

most1320 posted these videos on Thursday night, showing Naperville North's 42-41 loss in triple overtime at Wheaton Warrenville South. The only loss of North's state championship season gave the DVC title to the eventual 7A state runner-up.

I'm curious about the timing, but more curious about the poster, "most1320."

The videos were posted with the tags "Conroy WWSHS Football MSU." The Conroy part could be outgoing senior Dan Conroy, the kicker who booted the 41-yard field goal to put the Tigers up 20-13 with 5:43 to play. Note the score. 20-13...most1320.

Maybe it's nothing. Maybe a graduating kicker is talking smack on the internets.

If this doesn't get you jacked up for Tennessee women's buckets, nothing will.

"...I was excited because I dunked before my brothers did."

-- Candace Parker in an interview posted on cbsnews.com on Tuesday.

This video posted on Wednesday shows Madisun Bailey shooting hoops in her driveway on a 10-foot basket. Before she starts shooting, she turns to the camera and says this:

"My name is Madisun Bailey. I'm five, but you can call me Candace Parker."

Then she sinks the first five shots she takes, a mixture of baseline jumpers mainly, before missing her sixth shot, which barely rims out. But showing the all-around game of her basketball role model, Bailey follows her own shot, gets the rebound and makes her next shot.

File this under the category of "How you know you're really famous."

This clip covers the first period and most of the second period of Naperville North graduate and Michigan senior Eric Tannenbaum's loss in the NCAA championships last Saturday to Mark Perry of Iowa.

The second clip picks up with 44 seconds remaining in the second period and shows the the rest of the match as Perry holds on for his second 165-pound title in a row.

This is a very slick production from frenchfryowners showing Neuqua Valley's win over Naperville North in the sectional championship last year. There is a nice intro with voices lifted from the four-letter network and inspirational music to boot.

Since North will visit Neuqua on Wednesday in a rematch of this championship game, I though the interested parties would like another look at how things went last spring.
