City addresses cab complaints

Naperville is changing the rules affecting taxi cabs to address several complaints from residents.

The rules haven't changed since 1991, when there were only four cab companies in town. Now 21 companies are licensed with 410 registered drivers.

Complaints have increased in the past few years, including "inadequate company identification on the taxi cabs, poorly posted rate sheets, language barriers and inconsistency in the rates being charged."

How often have you used a cab in Naperville, and what sort of problems have you encountered?
