The first day of Celebration IV starts with a long line and ends with a fizzle.
I promised you trivia so we will start with this.

Who is the guy in the middle? I mean, what character, even I don't know his real name.
Email your answers to wweber@scn1.com. I will choose a winner at random. Include your address in your entry so I mail you your prize (CIV exclusive R2-D2 and C-3PO figures) when I return late next week.
Next, I will talk about my day. Let's just say there was a lot more of this than I usually agree to:

Waiting in line is a big part of the day at Celebration.
Although that little beaut of a line snaked most of the building, we got in in about 15 minutes after the 10 a.m. start. We started at the Exhibit Hall because the boys wanted to take that in, and we were back and forth there most of the day.
The definite highlight was "Fanboys," the preview of the loving tribute to "Star Wars" fans about a group of devotees who decide to sneak into Skywalker Ranch to steal a print of "Episode I" so they can watch it before its release date. It stars Kristen Bell of "Veronica Mars" and features cameos as diverse as Ray Park (Darth Maul) to Seth Rogen (current It Boy star of the upcoming "Knocked Up"). If the generous preview we saw was any indication (we were told it was 45 minutes of footage), it is hilarious, and only for the most devoted "Star Wars" fan, as half the jokes won't even make sense to anyone else.
As for that fizzle that ended the day, the always-anticipated Opening Ceremonies were cut short when a "suspicious package" threat was apparently called in. The convention center was evacuated, and the geeks had something else to complain about besides long lines for a change. We didn't even find out what the winning stamp was for the "Star Wars" stamp contest. The word is it will be rescheduled for tomorrow.
On board for tomorrow is "Robot Chicken," "Family Guy" and Carrie Fisher. Big day.
Until tomorrow.
Wendy
